The Sacramento News and Review has given Heather first place for Best Politician, second place for Best Political Activist, and first place for Best Green Politician.

SACRAMENTO— The International Union of Operating Engineers, Stationary Engineers, Local 39 in Sacramento, will announce Thursday their formal endorsement of Heather Fargo for Mayor.

Sacramento Mayor Heather Fargo was installed Friday as the new president of the League of California Cities during the league's closing session. Fargo is a longtime member of the league, serving the past two years as second and first vice president.

Mayor Heather Fargo has received the endorsement of District 6 Councilmember Kevin McCarty in her bid for re-election.

For the 7th year, Heather spent part of her summer visiting libraries and community centers around Sacramento reading to school children. This program is not just for fun, but serves an important role in our by improving the reading skills of students who aren’t reading as well as they could be.
